# Navigating the JRNL Calendar - record the past and capture the present

JRNL offers a variety of ways to use our calendar that makes it easy for you to go back and read older entries, or even create entries in the past.

Each JRNL user uses the system a little bit differently. Some like to sort their entries oldest to newest or vice versa and just scroll to read through old content. Some users like to see all entries from all journals in their timeline at once, while some like to go to a specific journal. No matter how you like to use JRNL, we can support it all.
